Olivia's Story - A Yellow MINI.... dreams do come true!

Hi All

I wanted to let you all know about a very brave 18 year old young lady I met the other day called Olivia (Ollie) Battye from Thornton Hough, Wirral.

Ollie has completed ten months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy at Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology. During Ollie’s treatment one of her relatives said to her can I get you anything? Meaning a drink of water and Ollie replied “a yellow MINI” and so the fund raising began to make Ollie’s dream come true, and as the pictures show Ollie and her Yellow MINI make a fabulous team.

Throughout her time in Clatterbridge Ollie was supported by the teenage cancer charity ‘CLIC Sargent, and helped promote peoples awareness during her interview with Cherie Blair for Hello magazine click here. Ollie hasn’t stopped there she is organising a Star studded ball at Hillbark Hotel, Roydon Park on 20th March next to help raise funds for the charity which Halliwell Jones are supporting. Most of the tickets have been sold but if anyone wants to nominate an auction or raffle prize please contact Ollie or myself Sue Carden Group Marketing Manager on 01925 434506 or email sue.carden@halliwelljones.co.uk

Ollie’s sister Georgia and boyfriend Ben are running in the 2010 London Marathon to raise funds for CLIC sergeant to find out more or indeed show your support and sponsor them click here.

I am sure you will all join me in wishing Ollie and her family all the best with their fund raising efforts.

Sue Carden
Group Marketing and Customer Relationship Manager
